Hiking is as much a part of summer as the waterfalls are to Engstligenalp. It’s lucky that Engstligenalp is the starting point for breathtaking hikes. Over hill and dale, through colorful flower meadows, along streams – various (circular) hiking trails lead from or to Engstligenalp. Whether you’re a mountain climber or a walker: discover the hiking paradise in the Bernese Oberland on foot!
By the way, mountain bikes are not allowed on Engstligenalp – the largest plateau in Switzerland is a nature reserve. And please always remember: You are never alone on our meadows. In our country, the cows graze without any fencing during the alpine season. So here we are clearly the guests!
A circular hiking trail has the advantage that you always arrive back at the starting point at the end of an eventful hike – in this case on the most beautiful plateau in Switzerland. In the Bernese Oberland, circular hiking trails for families, challenging Alpine circular hikes, through the nature reserve and over hill and dale await you! There are no limits to hiking.
