Active summer vacation or a break from everyday life – the Berghotel Engstligenalp welcomes its guests in front of an enchanting natural backdrop away from the big crowds. Sleeping is especially good at 2000 meters above sea level. But the Berghotel is not only a great place to sleep: you start the day with a rich breakfast. And after your day in the mountains, a refreshing drink on the sun terrace, a fine dinner in the mountain hotel or a few relaxing moments in the sauna await you – of course always with a view of the high plateau.
Just a few meters from the Berghotel is our Sennhütte, where seven new, ultra-modern rooms in Alpine chic style were built in 2023. In addition to three family rooms (5 – 7 people), there are four double rooms, which were completed at the beginning of February 2024.

About 50 meters next to the Berghotel is the Dependance Wildstrubel with a selection of different double rooms and suites, which are also perfect for several people or families. The orientation towards Wildstrubel, the imposing valley end of Adelboden, promises a unique mountain view. In the main building of the mountain hotel there are various double rooms available for guests, which enchant with their simple and nostalgic charm. Dogs are also welcome in the rooms of the Berghotel.

Of course, a successful vacation also includes a fine dinner or a good drop of wine. The modern restaurant serves tasty, local dishes – the selection of fine wines is just the right accompaniment.
The 3rd course dinner (à la carte), which is included in the room rate, is served between 18:00 – 20:00.
Also the “Zmorge” belongs to an overnight stay in the mountain hotel of course. Breakfast is served from 7:30 to 10 am: You can expect a rich breakfast buffet and a selection of different coffees. After a hearty breakfast, you’ll be ready for whatever a day in the mountains may bring!
Hotel guests benefit from a reduced rate for the cable car ticket. For guests who book directly on our website, the cable car (Unter dem Birg – Engstligenalp, return) is included from 2 nights. Just show the booking confirmation at the ticket office of the valley station and you’re off!

He is transported free of charge in our mountain railroad up to the most beautiful plateau in Switzerland and is sure to enjoy sniffing over hill and dale up here. Simply reserve a Berghotel room or a Comfort room in the Dependance Wildstrubel, where dogs are allowed. We will provide your four-legged friend with a bowl and a dog blanket in the room.

Our site for motorhomes in the Alps is located at the site “Unter dem Birg”. From here you have a wonderful view of nature and are also quickly on the plateau of Engstligenalp.
The 8 spaces are located in the upper part of the parking lot Unter dem Birg and are subject to a fee. Due to the risk of severe weather, it is forbidden to camp in the lower parking lot.
Pitch costs: CHF 15 per night (excl. spa and accommodation taxes).
Cash desk & registration forms are located in the Bergbach restaurant, in front of the entrance to the restrooms.
