While you are sitting in the restaurant of the mountain hotel, you can not only fill your belly: At the same time, you look out of the large panoramic windows or enjoy the view from the sun terrace and let your eyes wander over the plateau – although we doubt whether this view ever really fills you up.
At noon, the restaurant in the mountain hotel welcomes you as a self-service restaurant and is therefore ideal for visiting with the whole family. Our menu includes hearty dishes such as rösti, bratwurst with chips or Älplermakkaroni. Or how about a break and an Engstligenplättli or a coupe on our sun terrace?
When the last day guests have left Engstligenalp again, a fine dinner awaits you as a hotel guest in the restaurant of the mountain hotel. Dinner is served from 18:30 – 20:00. We attach great importance to seasonality and regionality: that’s why our menus include local flowers and herbs. Please inform us before arrival if you have any food intolerances.
In July and August, the restaurant in the Berghotel opens its doors on Friday and Saturday evenings not only for hotel guests, but also for external visitors. When the sun slowly disappears behind the mountains, the alp unfolds its very special magic.
The cable car runs continuously on these evenings until 18:00. An additional descent is offered at 9.00 pm.
