  • Huskies and other sled dogs have an increased energy requirement due to their active lifestyle and the effort they put in when pulling sleds or on long runs. For this reason, they need a balanced diet that is rich in protein and nutrients. As a rule, huskies should be fed high-quality dog food that is specially tailored to the needs of active dogs.

  • Sled dogs are considered friendly, sociable and good-natured, both towards humans and other dogs.

  • Breeds that are considered sled dogs include Siberian Huskies, Alaskan Malamutes, Samoyeds and Greenland Dogs.

  • Depending on the breed, training and conditioning, sled dogs can work for several hours to several days in extreme weather conditions.

  • Sled dogs require intensive training that focuses on endurance, strength and stamina. They need to be accustomed to pulling loads at an early age.

  • Snowtubing is expected to be available from 23 December (depending on snow & weather). The facility operates daily from 10 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. each day.

  • Yes, wearing a helmet is mandatory.

  • No, but children under the age of 6 should only travel with one parent, depending on the situation.

  • From 10 people we ask for a registration, so that waiting times can be avoided.
