Globi, the blue bird with a yellow beak, beret and red and black checked trousers, simply belongs to Engstligenalp. The Globi experience begins when the Globi cable car takes your whole family up the mountain in winter. He welcomes you to the most beautiful plateau in Switzerland: Together you will explore the Engstligenalp and experience an unforgettable Globi adventure with the whole family – not only children’s eyes will light up.
The Globi cable car takes your whole family up to Engstligenalp. Already then the adventure with Globi begins, because on the way there is much to discover. Maybe you’ll catch a glimpse of the frozen waterfall.

Right next to the Berghotel, the Globi Kinderland awaits adventure-hungry guests on the slope. From morning to evening you will be spoiled by the sun here. And with a bit of luck, Globi is already on site, because the blue bird loves the snow just as much as you do. A fun Globi trail with a drive-through gondola, bumps and staked-out gates awaits the little guests in Kinderland. Fun is guaranteed – not only for children.
A special family event is also a visit to the excitingly designed Horä Trail, which is located further back at the Bockmatti lift: Wave troughs and steep wall curves provide fun and action on a family vacation in the Alps. The fast ride through the old Engstligen gondola is an unforgettable experience.
Or you can whiz down the slope in a tire on the snow tubing track. Skiing and frolicking in the snow make you tired? Then rest easy on the children’s carousel or snowtubing.
Now skiing and snowboarding is even more fun. Globi provides a variety of skiing experiences not only in the Kinderland, but also at the Bockmatti lift with fun challenges. Will you manage to beat Globi’s time or will you master a section of the slope on one leg? Globi sets you various tasks on the slopes that will make your day in the snow fly by.
Participation in the Globi Cup costs CHF 5.00. The participation brochure can be purchased at the sales points in the area (ticket office at the valley station, Globi Stübli, Berghotel).
Globi has prepared 5 challenges for you in the Kinderland and at the Bockmattilift (blue slope). Look out for the various posts where pliers have been deposited. Snap into the corresponding field on your card when you have successfully completed the task. At the end of your snow day, bring the completed card to the ticket office at the valley station or to the Globi Stübli to collect your prize (1 prize per participation flyer).
If you also complete a Globi Cup at one of our partner resorts (Brunni Engelberg or Arosa Lenzerheide), you can take part in a prize draw with great prizes.
You will meet Globi in the Kinderland on Engstligenalp mostly on skis. He likes to brag about his driving skills and may even ask you to follow him. That’s always a lot of fun!
Of course, Globi is also happy to stand in front of the camera with you for a souvenir photo. And if you’re a little lucky, Globi will even have a little surprise for you: small gifts such as tattoos, glue and postcards will quickly light up children’s eyes.
You admire the great skiers during their elegant turns on the slopes? You can do that too! At the Globi Ski School you will learn to ski every Saturday and Sunday during the winter sports season from the end of December to the beginning of April. Everyone is welcome up here – beginners as well as budding professionals. Two children’s lifts with several exits will take you and other little winter athletes to the slopes. With a bit of practice, you’ll be able to make your first short turns in no time at all, and you’ll be able to curve down the slope with confidence.

Do you already know the story of Globi, how he becomes an alderman on Engstligenalp for one season? The alpine dairyman has suffered an unfortunate injury – no question, Globi is standing in for him. Now there is a lot for him to do, a lot to learn and a lot of new things to discover again.
