In the restaurant of our mountain hotel, you will not only enjoy the fine creations of our cuisine, but also an enchanting view. Through the large panoramic windows or from the sun terrace, you can enjoy a view over the wide plateau and the majestic mountain world that will take your breath away. But be careful, don’t forget to eat… Although we doubt that this view will ever fill you up.
At noon, the restaurant in the mountain hotel welcomes you as a self-service restaurant and is therefore ideal for visiting with the whole family. On our menu are classics like Ghackets with Hörnli, Bratwurst with fries or Älplermakkaroni. Or how about a break and an Engstligenplättli or coffee and cake?
Start your day off right and fuel up for your winter adventure with the EngstligenZmorge at the Berghotel. Every day until 10:30 a.m., a generous all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet awaits you—in the restaurant or on the terrace overlooking the majestic Wildstrubel.
Breakfast costs CHF 24 for adults and CHF 12 for children.
Tip: Breakfast is included for guests of the Berghotel. So why not spend a night on the alp and start the day relaxed?
From December 18 through March 27, the restaurant at the Berghotel is also open to non-hotel guests on Friday and Saturday evenings. When the sun disappears behind the mountains, the alp reveals its very special charm. So why not combine a winter stroll or a lap on the cross-country ski trail with a delicious dinner at the mountain restaurant?
On these evenings, the cable car runs continuously until 10:00 p.m.
Tip for active guests: Start the evening with a lap on the cross-country ski trail or a winter hike, and then treat yourself to a delicious dinner at the mountain restaurant. Showers are available at the mountain station so you can freshen up before dinner.
Once the last day visitors have left Engstligenalp, hotel guests can look forward to a delicious dinner in the mountain hotel’s restaurant. From 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., we serve our delicious à la carte dishes. We place great emphasis on seasonal and regional ingredients. That’s why our menu features dishes that always include local flowers and herbs. A table is automatically reserved for hotel guests upon booking, unless you’ve already booked your dinner at the Fondue Igloo. Please let us know before your arrival if you have any food intolerances.
