Below you the perfectly groomed slopes, above you the bright blue sky and in front of you the endless expanse: this is how the snow sports area of Engstligenalp presents itself. As a reward, the breathtaking view or a fine lunch in the restaurant in the mountain hotel beckons. On the slopes, ready, go!
The Engstligenalp-Adelboden snow sports area is located at 2000 meters above sea level. Thanks to the unique topography and altitude, the snow sports area is guaranteed snow from mid-December to the beginning of May and can score with natural snow. For skiers and snowboarders, Engstligenalp offers exclusive winter sports experiences right at the foot of the Wildstrubel with three ski lifts, two children’s lifts and a drag lift.
The mountain railroads in the Adelboden-Lenk ski region have a dynamic pricing model for ski tickets. Tickets can be booked directly in the webshop. The rule is: the earlier you book, the cheaper the prices. So get going, secure your ski passes as early as possible and enjoy skiing at 2000 m above sea level!
The “Kids Free” family offer applies in the Adelboden-Lenk ski region: every Saturday, for every 1 adult who buys a 1-day ski pass, a 4-hour or a 2-hour pass, a maximum of 2 adults can ski for free. 2 children between the ages of 6 and 15 ski for free. Only children accompanied by an adult ride for free (max. 2 kids aged 6-15).
Whether with their parents, godparents or grandparents, kids visiting Adelboden-Lenk on Saturday are invited by the ski region to get to know the many child-friendly slopes and fun offers.
When the full moon bathes the snow-capped peaks in silvery light and the silence of the night envelops the mountains, a very special winter experience begins on the Engstligenalp.
Free from light pollution, you glide down perfect slopes in the natural moonlight. Accompanied by the glistening snow and the clear, fresh mountain air, every turn becomes a moment of pure magic.

A decision will be made by 12:00 p.m. on the day of the event as to whether the full moon skiing event can take place. Updates will be provided via digital channels.
While some people already have one foot in the pool, others aren’t even thinking about putting their skis and snowboards back in the basement just yet. That’s because you can still ski at Engstligenalp until May! Carving through the snow in spring-like weather and wrapping up the day with après-ski at the Bockbar—enjoying a Kafi Luz, Schümli Pflümli, or Fröschli—is definitely a one-of-a-kind experience.
The early bird catches the worm—or in this case, the cable car. Whether it’s cross-country skiing, ski touring, downhill skiing, or winter hiking—in the spring, we’ll take you up to Engstligenalp by cable car every weekend starting at 7:00 a.m. Starting in early April, the Early Bird trips even run daily when the weather forecast is good. Enjoy the silence on the mountain and be the first to leave your tracks in the snow.

A decision will be made each Thursday at noon as to whether the Early Bird ski program can take place.

Had you actually only planned a leisurely excursion to the largest plateau in Switzerland, but suddenly you still feel like making a few turns on the slopes? No problem at all, because the Engstligenalp rental and test center is located right next to the mountain station. There you can rent skis, snowshoes and cross-country skis. Or did you forget to sharpen the edges, wax the skis or is the binding too loose? Simply bring your equipment to the rental and test center before you hit the slopes.
Why return directly to the valley when you can extend your day of skiing on the Engstligenalp? During an extended day of skiing, the cozy raclette hut invites you to stop off – whether for lunch, a refreshing break in the afternoon or a relaxing end to the day.
If you want to freshen up beforehand, you will find modern showers and practical, lockable lockers right next to the mountain station – ideal for changing and safely storing a change of clothes.
Did you know that the Engstligenalp is home to many marmots? Like clockwork, the little creatures wake up from their hibernation between April 18 and 22 and return to the surface. With a bit of luck, you might spot a marmot from the piste as it sleepily sticks its nose out of its burrow.
This makes it all the more worthwhile to take a trip to the spring snow at the end of April!
