The Engstligenalp-Adelboden snow sports area is located at 2000 meters above sea level. Thanks to the unique topography and altitude, the snow sports area is guaranteed snow from mid-December to the beginning of May and can score with natural snow. For skiers and snowboarders, Engstligenalp offers exclusive winter sports experiences right at the foot of the Wildstrubel with three ski lifts, two children’s lifts and a drag lift.
The Adelboden-Lenk ski region has a dynamic pricing model for ski tickets. Tickets can be purchased online. The rule is: early bookers benefit – the earlier you book, the cheaper the prices. So get going, secure your ski passes as early as possible and enjoy skiing at 2000 m above sea level!

While some already have one foot in the pool, others are far from thinking about putting their skis and boards back in the basement. Because you can still ski on the Engstligenalp until May! Make tracks in the snow in spring-like weather and end the day with Kafi Luz, Schümli Pflümli or Fröschli at the aprèsski in the Bockbar – definitely a unique experience.
Perhaps it is simply the love of extremes that drives tourers and freeriders. After all, what could be more breathtaking than to be the first to leave traces in the untouched landscape after an overnight stay in a mountain hotel, when the day awakens? On Engstligenalp, the deep snow can be whirled up on various tours for every level of difficulty. However, you should always think about your own safety when you’re on the trail: So don’t forget your safety equipment and check the avalanche bulletin before the tour!
The early bird catches the worm – or just the Bähnli. In spring, we take you up to Engstligenalp on the cable car at 07.00 a.m. at weekends for an additional CHF 20 on top of the normal ticket. Enjoy the silence on the mountain and draw the very first tracks in the snow.
The decision whether the Early Bird trips will take place will be communicated on the website every Wednesday.
Sun already early in the morning, an action-packed Globi trail and everything it takes to make your first attempts on the boards unforgettable. Fun and action are guaranteed in the children’s land. And with a bit of luck you’ll meet Globi himself on skis, because he loves the snow and skiing!
Had you actually only planned a leisurely excursion to the largest plateau in Switzerland, but suddenly you still feel like making a few turns on the slopes? No problem at all, because the Engstligenalp rental and test center is located right next to the mountain station. There you can rent skis, snowshoes and cross-country skis. Or did you forget to sharpen the edges, wax the skis or is the binding too loose? Simply bring your equipment to the rental and test center before you hit the slopes.
